This past week has been superb!! We now have an investigator with a baptismal date!!! Yay!! He is from Cambodia and knows some English, but it is very limited. He really likes the church and the things we believe in, and has had some crazy stories about feeling like he knows God is real and has had some crazy dreams he has told us about!! His name is 앳 랑이호! We met another investigator last week on Monday so my Pday was cut a little short but that is fine! His name is 최정수 and he is the same age as me. He is actually really good at english and we have formed a good relationship! The only problem is that his dad doesn't like the church... so he won't let him get baptized even though he had a baptismal date. Everyone pray for him please!!! He needs to be baptized!!!!
I have been lifting weights and I gained 2 whole pounds from one meal at a recent converts house yesterday, 2 whole pounds. I will be pretty big when I get home!! It is just me and Elder Cronin in the apartment. For our branch there are 2 sets of missionaries, us and two sisters! One is from Korea and the other is from Texas, they are both super funny and way fun to be around.

The things I have eaten..... Oh dear, they have some real good stuff but some other stuff.... ehhh. My favorite food is called 불고기 (bulgogi) which is a bunch of meat, and is is super good!! I also like something called 딱뽀기 (Tteokbokki) which is too hard to explain, I will send a picture. My least fave food is probably Kimche.. It isn't like it is really that bad, the taste is just kind of indescribable, and it makes my mouth feel funny!! But I made a goal that I have to eat at least a chunk of it no matter what, every time it is placed in front of me!! Another food I love is from a store called Paris Baguette here, and the ice cream they have is probably better then (never thought I'd say this) Edaleens Dairy... It is soooooo good!!!!! Also I got some awesome Chopsticks.

I do really enjoy it here, this area is the best because the members (which are mainly sisters in our branch) are so insanely nice!! They even drove us like 15 minutes in the opposite direction of their house to a different members house to eat!! Crazy nice!! And the members feed me so much food that I gain a pound or two or three. Korea is soooo fun, and the people here are so nice to us white boys, They always call us handsome, and I have gone to a few stores where the cashier gives me free stuff?? Haha they are so awesome here!!!

So I'm in Korea. It is going great. Love you, bye............................................... Hahahaha jk!! I actually am in Korea, and it is going super great!!! There are a lottttt of Koreans here in Korea by the way, Like almost everyone here is Korean, except some of the missionaries!! Hahaha It is a big change form home seeing about the whole town of sugar city in about 20 minutes of proselyting out here... haha My trainer is an elder from Salt lake area named Elder Cronin, He is super funny and we get along great! My first area is a relatively small city, which in reality is not even small, but for Korea it sorta is, and it is called 방어진 (Bongojiin) It is a peninsula and is right next to Ulsan. We are surrounded by 현데(Hyundai, and ps dad, apparently the article you read, I guess the owner says it wrong or something? sounds more like hee un day) shipyards and they have some massive cranes to load the cars onto the ships. The funny thing about living here is that when work gets off all the workers from the shipyards come out all on scooters, and there is about like 5 thousand scooters zipping down the main road haha. The food, oh the food... Haha it is definitely interesting!! So far I have eaten everything that has been place in front of me, including raw onions (they wrecked my breath, plus you know how I am about onions too...), the soup that they bring out boiling hot and you have to eat it boiling hot so my tongue has been destroyed lately, the food here gets pretty spicy, I had cereal like coco puffs, only it was thousands times better here, theres been ground up fish in a little stirp that they put in soup, kimche, kimche stew, some insanely good meats, and rice, and the rice here is sooooo good, the rice in America is gross compared to it!! I will send pcs of the foods as well! The members in 방어진 have already fed me twice, and the same sister wants to feed me again tomorrow, bless her heart. I love Koreans!!! Our branch is super funny, yesterday a recent convert Kim Jong Ho, who is a really rough type of guy, sat next to me and tried to make me sleep during church haha, and he kept calling me the boss of all the missionaries and said that I was a founder of teh church... He is really interesting haha. Tonight we meet one of our investigators 최정수 Chway Jong Soo, And I am way excitied, he is going to highschool so normally he doesnt have any time because the schools here go from 8 AM to 11PM (And I thought school was bad..) But today he gets off at 5 because of some massive test coming up. He is learning english so he likes to call us and talk in cute little broken english and since me and him are the same age, in Korea we automatically became friends!! Awesome! Korea is so fun!! I love it here!! You will probably have to come drag me out of Korea when I have to go home!!! Love ya!

Leavin' On A Jet Plane!

We were able to talk with Elder Davis for a 46 minutes this (his mom was counting) morning before he left for the mission field! He left Salt Lake City at about 8:30 this morning and flew to Seattle. Then it's onto an 11 hour flight to Tokyo. After a five hour layover in Tokyo, he'll be on his way to Busan. He'll arrive in Busan at about 6:30 am Tuesday morning our time, which will be 9:30 pm their time. That's a lot of time in an airplane for someone who hasn't been on a plane since before he was two, but he has 22 other missionaries to keep him company!

Was great to hear his voice and here how excited he is to get to Korea. He shared some Korean with us, sounded like jibberish! He even said our family prayer in Korean, amazing to feel the Spirit even when you don't understand what's being said. Thanks to someone very kind for texting these pictures to Zachary's mom!

Last e-mail from Utah!!

5 days until KOREA!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSS!! This is what I have been training for and it is just around the corner!! We have been getting Korean culture lessons lately and it is so exciting to hear about the crazy stuff we get to do and food we get to eat!!! Flight plans are as follows, we leave MTC at 3:50, probably don't leave the airport for a little bit (leave at 8:37) but we get to Seattle at 9:48 their time, we have about a 2 hour layover there, then we leave for Tokyo Japan. We have a 5 hour layover in Japan, crazy,, then we leave for Busan!!! We arrive at 9:35 their time!! One of the elders in my district is jealous you got to go to Star Valley temple because he lives there and didn't get to see it.

I'm really sad to be leaving our awesome teachers. They helped so much!!! The language progressively gets better, although I wouldn't say easier just yet!! We had Elder Bednar speak last night and he did an awesome job!!! ! Anyways it is super exciting to be heading out this week!! Expect an influx in pictures once it is time to go!!! Love ya!!

Hey everyone!!
Hope you all had a great conference  weekend! It was so good this year; possibly because I actually payed attention this year. Well this is my 2nd to last p-day in Utah... It's so sad.. :( haha just kidding. I'm leaving to Korea in 12 days!!!!!!!! The MTC has treated me well, buuuuut it is definitely time for us to part ways. We get our new name tags (all in Korean) this week as well as our flight plans. I am not sure which one I am more excited for!!! This week we had some great devotionals, we had vocal point to end our conference Sunday and it was amazing.

Something I would like to share with everyone is one of my favorite Book of Mormon chapters, it is Alma 29. It is really helpful to me, because it talks about how Alma felt like he was inadequate, how he wished he could do more, so it is comforting to know that one of the greatest people in history felt like that, and it is a good way to move forward with my work. Another thing that was mentioned in the devotional last night was that God doesn't need us to do his work. He said himself that he could do his own work. He is Letting us have the privilege of doing this work so that we can grow. I know God is a loving God, and he has given us so much!! I love being a missionary so much!!!

How many missionaries can you fit on a bottom bunk? At least five!
