Today was a crazy day already! We went to the biggest public bathhouse in all of Asia super early this morning... it was super fun!!

This past week was pretty crazy!! We met a ton of new people and have made a ton of progress with our investigators. We found a bunch of new people and got 2 baptismal dates with 2 of them. We met these 2 new Vietnamese guys who are super awesome. One of them is really good at english and has been in Korea for only a few days!! We met him at a bus stop and exchanged facebooks and he later contacted us. He started asking lots of questions about the church and ended up saying that he wants to come to church and also become a member.. haha we taught him and another guy the 1st lesson at church yesterday and he translated everything for the other guy!! So the accepted baptismal dates for August 5th!! I think my last transfer may be one of the craziest ones yet because we have lots of people getting ready to get baptized and we have lots of potential investigators who will have lots of free time after this week is over. The highschool students will finish their testing and they probably will come to church when they have time!! It is a very exciting time!!

This coming week is a very busy week.. we have a ton of stuff to get done for the last week of this transfer!! Things in our zone are going great and some crazy stuff is happening in Busan stake!!

We played lots of basketball and it was fun!! We played 7v7 basketball with our vietnamese friends and it was crazy hahaha.

We actually met quite a bit of people last week. We met a guy named Jungho who lived in america for a little bit for college. He decided he wanted to start a business with me to bring Five Guys (the burger place) to Korea haha. He is really good at english and is a pretty open guy!! Sadly he is probably moving to Seoul and then Bangladesh for work.. but his older sister is interested in how missionaries get so good at speaking foreign languages so she might come to english class later!!

We also met the Chinese guy Loui and he ended up coming to church this past week with a girl.. they didn't understand very much because they are just learning korean but they had a good time!!

We also went to Yeonsan area to interview a kid for baptism and it went really well! this transfer the busan zone has been on fire and has a ton of baptismal dates!!! and they just keep adding up haha.

I am still planning on heading up to BAngeojin this week on Saturday and apparently a bunch of the members there found out hta I am coming and have been calling me and they decided to prepare a huge dinner after the baptism.. hah I miss the members there sooo much!! I am really excited to go back!!

Anyways that's about it! love you all and hope you have a great week!!

Hey guys!! Last week was a fun and funny week!!
So I found out this week that I am going on the 7th of next month... pretty crazy and super unexpected.. We just randomly got a call from a kid me and elder Cronin found back in my training. And he decided that he wants to get baptized now!! So i am going home as in going back to my training area to baptize him πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ€£  He called asking me to baptize him last week!! so i'm not really going home but i think of Bangeojin as my Korean home hahaha I am really excited!!

Things with our investigator Levan are going really well!! We met him almost everyday last week.. haha he came to church as well and he might be getting baptized next month on the 7th!!! He is super awesome!! He said he really wanted to have a suit so i decided to be nice and I gave him one of my favorite suits γ… γ… γ…  he really liked it though so its ok haha. We met on exchanges with him and ate some dinner together, and we taught him prayer, and he blessed the food and has been praying everyday since then!! He also posted a picture on Facebook saying he was grateful to God for meeting good friends. He is such a great guy!! We also celebrated one of his friends birthdays with him. His name is Vu hong and he is just a super cute little guy who is super funny haha we had a great birthday party thing in a convenience store filled with Chinese Vietnamese Koreans and Americans hahaha

We also met this other guy playing basketball who is from China. His name is Louie and he is sooo funny. We are the same age but he seems like a 5 year old kid in a giants body hahaha we have some weird conversations in some sort of English Chinese Korean mixture... he is sooo funny haha he said he is coming to church this week and is really excited for it!!

We had a big zone proselyting activity that went pretty well!! We went near a big bus station and set up a couple booths. There was an english booth, balloon animals, family booth and a face painting booth!! It went pretty well and it actually seems to have worked pretty well!! A guy went to church in Oncheon and we have gotten a couple calls about our english class!!

Speaking of english, we had our meeting last week and it went well!! About 13 people came and they had a great time and everything pretty much went as planned!! We had 4 highschool students come and one of them wants to go to BYU after seeing a video about the school haha. Sadly right now is testing so they have no time to meet until the end of next week!! But we will definitely meet them next week!!!

There's a guy who started coming to english class who really likes us and wants to take us out to eat all the time haha and he bought us ice cream when we were doing an exchange then brought us to meet his wife at her store!! They are awesome people who really just wanna help us out! He actually knows a member so hopefully he can get a little bit of interest soon!!

That's about all I remember for now...  hahaha so I hope you all have a great week!!!
λͺ¨λ‘λ₯Ό μ‚¬λž‘ν•΄μš”

This past week was fun!! We had lots of stuff going on so we were pretty busy! So a lot of our time was spent preparing for our english class explanation meeting this week, which meant we were using computers a lot last week haha. We have been doing so much stuff for the branch that we haven't had much time to be out on the streets sadly. But we have somehow been making the best out of our time and meeting a ton of people haha.

One day while we were headed to meet a less active the first 2 people that we met took Books of Mormon and our english flier and gave us their number haha. We will probably meet them in the coming week! We are almost done with our prep for the english class meeting so we actually have some time to get some stuff done this week!!

We had Busan Stake sports day the past week and it was super fun!! We played soccer and I made some new friends from the Gimhae ward which is in our district. haha we were on the same team and for some reason they thought i was really cool so they wanted to become friends with me.. haha and I was in a crazy mood from the day before as well... we made handshakes and everything.. They are super funny kids!!  They have been messaging me for a little bit now.. hahaha

Also last week I got to go visit the couple me and Hurtado found and taught when I was in Haeundae!! It was awesome to see them again!! We ate together at their house then went to Shinsaegae department store (The biggest in the world) and did some window shopping. Sadly everything was so expensive so all we got was some ice cream haha but it was nice to see them again!! It is super awesome to see how far they have progressed!! It made me so happy to see them progressing in the gospel!!

Last week was a week full of sports! On Wednesday we played a huge basketball game against some Chinese kids and we met some really cool people!! haha We played a game of me us and our Korean players against the Chinese guys! It was a really fun game haha.

We also got one of our investigators out to church last!!His name is Levan and we met him by playing basketball! He is from Vietnam!! He is super funny and he really likes us. On Saturday after the sports day we played with him and then ate dinner with him. And we had tp clean the church around 8ish and he decided he wanted to help us out haha his mom was Catholic and his dad Buddhist so he is pretty open to the gospel!! He has lots of time to meet so we are hoping that he will progress lots!!

This week we have a big english class meeting thing, i honestly don't know what to call it in english μ„€λͺ…νšŒ μ•Œμ•„ λˆ„λ‚˜?? γ…‹γ…‹γ…‹ λ„ˆλ§Œ 이거 이해할거같은데 γ…‹γ…‹γ…‹ and it doesn't translate very well but its like some sort of explanation meeting thing? like it introduces our class, but anyways we have that this week and we have been preparing pretty hard for it! But we have one student named Jack Lee (He is a teacher at the school near here) who has been bringing students every week and we are hoping he brings a ton of kids this week as well! Last week he brought a few students with him and they really liked us! Things are going really good in Gupo right now!1 WE have been getting tighter with the members here and finding lots and lots of new people!

Last week was crazy!! It consisted of a bunch of exchanges and me getting λͺΈμ‚΄.. I got really sick hahaha. It started on the first exchange in GImhae with elder Youngblood. We woke up in the morning to go to zone conference and my throat hurt a lot. So i started drinking tons of water and what not and by the end of that day i was pretty wrecked. but that same day we had another exchange and I went with elder Vanwart back to Gupo and i got a lot more sick haha. but on exchange we saw a super cool miracle!
We were at english class when a teacher me and Smoot had met earlier called and brought in 7 students to have them learn english! He then asked me to explain why our church is different from all the other ones so I got to teach the restoration to all the kids!! And I found out later that I had met one of them and played basketball with him back when i was serving in Sacheon! WE went to Masan to spend a pday there and he was randomly there playing basketball so we all played together! He was there to visit his grandma for the new year haha God's hand is definitely in this! I really hope to meet and teach him more!
yesterday night there was a small little fireside held in busan with Lexie Walker! We went there with our recent convert finn and had a great time! It was awesome because I got to see a couple of my favorite members in korea from sacheon and bangeojin!! The fireside went great and Finn really liked it!
We are making a powerpoint for a meeting in a few weeks so the other day we had to translate the video into english.. it hurt our heads and was super hard but luckily we finished translating it in one day hahaha so now we don't have to really worry about it as much!!
Gupo is going great! WE played lots of basketball with some potential investigators and have been giving out tons of english fliers!
I hope that you all have a great week!! Love you all!

SO Gupo is really great! to start off we pretty much go hiking everyday because our house and the church are on top of a mountain... hahaha it is fun to walk up and down it all the time..
So in Gupo we have two awesome recent converts who got baptized in the past transfer. Their names are Finn, and David (English names) Finn is the same age as me and David is around 30 years old. So last week we met with them a couple times and they are super awesome! Finn sadly goes to military next month so I only get to meet with him for a limited time! They are two awesome guys and their faith is really strong! Finn really wants to get his patriarchal blessing before he goes to the military!
So we met with a couple investigators last week and sadly they all are randomly moving so we have to drop them... haha we don't have much investigators so we are hitting the streets a ton lately!! WE are trying to improve our english class lately so the branch bought us 8 thousand fliers and we have been giving tons of them out. we are hoping a lot of people will be able to come!

Last week we did some basketball proselyting and we met a super hilarious guy from Vietnam. He trash talked us soooo much and was super funny. He wasn't super good at basketball, but because he was so funny everyone had a great time! I talked with him a little bit about church and he randomly said "I cant come tomorrow because I have work, but I will come next week" So we have some high hopes for him!! His name is Levan.. haha We are thinking he can get baptized by the end of this transfer!

Also because I am zone leader, me and Elder Smoot made some zone culture and zone goals last week, and the theme for our zone is greenie fire. When a missionary first comes into the mission they are full of fire and want to work super hard so we are trying to get our zone to be filled with greenie fire. It is actually super fun and the zone is loving it!! we have this group message where we send a bunch of quotes and weird pictures of green stuff to everyone everyday.. it is hilarious hahahah.

Other than that stuff last week we met some LA's played soccer, played basketball, hit the streets super hard, and met tons of cool people! One of the guys we met last week actually played basketball for the Korea national team a long time back, and he was an absolute giant... It was super intimidating to approach him on the street, but he was really kind and had a little bit of interest! He actually knew about the church already!!

Anyways love you guys!!!
I got transferred to Busan!
So now I am in Gupo with Elder Smoot! I am really sad to leave Gumi because i loved it so much, but I am happy to be back in Busan!!  I am excited for this transfer!!
Last week was super fun! WE had a big helping hands service project and we did a hike in Busan for zone conference! And because President is worried about me hurting my legs he made me take the cable car down from the hike with him.. hahahah
Saturday we did the service project and I got to run into Sister Lee Haebom who came home from her mission when i was in Sacheon! We did some cleaning at a river and there was to many people there so there was nothing left for us to do.. hahaha
Sadly i don't have much time to email so I will just send a bunch of pictures!!
Love you all!!

Hey guys!!
I have like no time today because we just got done with a fun zone pday!! I got to see a couple of my super good friend like Elder Aubrey and Elder Vongsayo and sister Oh and play sports and talk lots so it was a great pday!!
Last week went really well especially at the end!! Yesterday we got a call from a Cambodian guy who used to be an investigator who said that now because he has more time he should be able to meet and that he wants to learn about the church!! And then we got a cool referral from the Gimcheon elders from a guy who came to their church and wanted to learn English!! He is going to come to church this coming week! We met him for a little bit randomly when we were proselyting yesterday and he is a very kind and older man!!
This week on Thursday we go to hike a mountain in Busan for zone conference so that should be super fun!! We get to do it with Ulsan!!
Anyways times up!!
Love you all!!
Lots of pics next week😘
Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week we put in lots of work and we are starting to see a lot of blessings from it!! We met with our investigator from North Korea (Seok GwangRo) and he is now getting ready to get baptized next month on the 18th! We had a really interesting visit with him!! Last time we met with him he had decided to get baptized into his other church he was attending so we came in with a plan to reteach him the restoration! When we got to his door and knocked though, we could hear lots of yelling inside from him.. We were not really sure what to think so I just knocked a couple more times and he opened the door and was really happy to see us haha.. So we talked a little bit and then he told us he had just got off the phone with his pastor from the church he was going to and that the pastor kept telling him that we were a cult... and he started fighting with the pastor telling him that we weren't a cult hahaha he kept asking the pastor how could two tall handsome and nice young men be a cult?? (Ps Dad I am taller than you now, I have grown a little bit ;P) So then we kept talking for a little bit and I ended up sharing some stories about Jesus healing people and a story from a conference a while back about a man getting healed after his baptism. It really hit brother Seok hard because he is really sick and hurt so we promised him that through his faith he could be healed and made full again! He then  accepted our baptismal invite for the 18th of next month :) it was a really powerful lesson!

Last week we randomly got a call from the bishop in an area called Jinju (which is right next to Sacheon) and he gave us a referral! His name is Jeong YongGun and we will be meeting him later today!! The call actually came while we were meeting with my old investigator from Bangeojin who came up with his friend to meet me! We ate lunch together and then he came to english class and later to FHE! It was awesome to see him again and to try and help him through lots of hard things that are happening in his life!! I didn’t realize how much I missed Bangeojin until I saw him and he started talking about all the members there!! As of now it has been over a year since I have been in Bangeojin.... Crazy how fast time flies!

so in Gumi there is this one street that everyone calls downtown and it is pretty much where all the people are. So we tend to walk up and down it quite often haha and because we are the only white people walking up and down this street we have now gotten a little famous... haha so yesterday because my legs were a little bit hurt we took a little break and just stood of to the side on this street as tons of people were walking by.. and we may have found the best way to get people to talk to us haha because so many people walked by and started asking us what we were doing and lots of people came up to us wanting pictures and what not... Also on that street all the store owners love us so we get discounts all over the place... Reminds me a little bit of what happened in Sacheon... haha

So lately we are focusing on trying to improve our english class so we have been working hard on announcing it and inviting lots of people to it, and we have starting seeing some success! We have a few new students who are coming out now and this coming week we will be doing a proselyting activity for the english class!! I really hope that we can get a lot of people to come!!

I really am loving Gumi! Especially the members here haha They are so awesome!! WE ran into probably my favorite sister in the ward (Sister Kang) and her daughter randomly on the street and the first thing she said was "Have you eaten" sadly we ate right before that so we didn’t eat together but it is so awesome to have members that care so much about the missionaries!! She told us that she has never liked the missionaries as much as she likes us haha so we are doing something right in Gumi!!

Love you all and hope you have a great week!!! :):):):):):):)):):):):):)):):):)
This past week was pretty good! We are finding some new people to work with and the members are trying to make me get fat... haha yesterday the relief society and the priesthood met together and right before it began our ward mission leader stood up and told everyone that he had made a goal for me to gain weight before I went home and that he needed everyone's help.. And now it is a ward goal to make Elder Davis get fat.... It is really hard for me to gain weight so we will see where this goes... hahahaha so we are expecting an increase in the invitations to members houses this week. We have been eating extremely well with them lately, so i can't imagine how much more invitations we can get.... The members in Gumi are super awesome!!!

So our english class is starting to get a lot bigger!! We had 2 new people show up, and they are super awesome! One of them (Jake) has become a new investigator and we are planning to meet with him tomorrow! The other (Jerry) absolutely loves us and really likes to play ping pong with me haha we think he will become a new investigator soon! The best thing about Jerry is that he has tons and tons of time and he really wants to meet with us!! I really hope he gains some interest in the gospel because he is becoming one of my best friends in Korea haha, he is a super awesome guy!! Jake is really kind and super quiet! But he has just started going to a different church and he is very curious about all things church. He accepted a BOM and has started reading it! I am excited to teach him :)

Last week we met with one of our sort of progressing investigators who is from North Korea!μ„κ΄‘λ‘œ (Seok Gwangro) He is a super great man and is kind of sick so his life is pretty rough. Plus he lives forever away haha it takes an hour bus ride to get there... So we met with him last week and he really wanted to take us to meet his pastor of the church he goes to, and for some reason he kept telling me that I have to pray for 10 minutes in front of the pastor to help their church out... hahaha sadly the pastor wasn't at the church or at home sooo... Maybe next time we will meet him.. Brother Seok sadly didn't really understand that there are differences between our church and other churches so he actually randomly got baptized into another church last saturday... SO we will have to reteach the 1st lesson haha. He is a super great guy with a lot of potential to progress!!

I found out that one of my favorite people Sister Yang (The one i served with back in Bangeojin when I first came, So she is technically my missionary mom) Is actually living in Daegu!!! She randomly got a hold of me and said If I ever need anything to call her haha and she says she will by me food if I ever am in Daegu!! And there are actually a couple members from Bangeojin who are going to college up in Daegu as well and they said they will come to Gumi to meet me! I am really excited to see them all haha. Plus this upcoming Saturday a member from Sacheon is coming up to visit as well as a past investigator from Bangeojin who randomly called me a few days ago!! So all my past areas are coming back to me hahaha just waiting for a call from some Haeundae members.. ;)

The past week one of the young men invited us to his house and fed us then took us out to meet some of his friends haha his friends didn't really have to much interest in us but it was great to see the young man working his hardest to help us out!! We also played some air hockey and it reminded me of the times when I would go to Mitches house and play air hockey almost everyday with Sam and Devin... I still got my air hockey skills thanks to them hahahaha (Still probably couldn't beat you guys..... Except Devin of courseπŸ˜†πŸ˜ ) He told us he would be bringing a friend to family home evening this coming week and that his friend wants to get baptized. He was then talking about baptism and helping this friend get married in the temple... The member is only a freshman but he has his priorities straight haha it is really awesome to see such a young kid trying to help God's work move along!!

That's probably it for today! WE have a district pday today and my son Elder Aubrey is coming from Daegu haha I am excited to see him after a long time Love you all! hope you have a great week!!
Allso i just got a haircut and she wrecked it so now I look really weird....
λΏ…!!!

Wednesday, June 27, 2018

I made it safely back to the mainland!! Barely... We almost missed out plane because we had to help the sisters not miss the plane but then they ended up missing the plane and having to come later.. but we made our plane with like a few seconds before takeoff hahaha. We then got to the mainland and went and saw some of the missionaries who are returning home and sent them home... It was really weird to see them go cause two of them were sisters that I had served with before and I remember them both coming into the mission... time really does fly...

So Gumi is officially one of the best places in this mission. I have been here only for a week but it is so awesome.!! My first day some members invited us over for dinner and we got super tight with their family the first night!! It was cool because Brother Kim is actually good friends with Brother Koo, my ping pong trainer back in Bangeojin! So I talked to him on the phone last week hahaha it was really nice to talk with him again!! Apparently Brother Kim is really good at Ping pong so I am excited to go up against him haha he told me if I can beat his son i can play him...  they fed us some super great korean food and then randomly Sister Kong brought out fries that had cheese melted all over them... It was soooo good haha haven't had food like that in awhile...

Elder Schimbeck, who was my companion back in Sacheon is our district leader and a bunch of the missionaries in our District are my friends so I am really happy with the district we have, plus in Daegu zone there are tons of my good friends serving here as well!!! So i am excited for zone conference!

So far the members in Gumi have been so awesome! Our ward mission leader was actually in the MTC at the same time as me, but had to come home early! SO i remember seeing him in the MTC haha and he may be one of the coolest and funniest guys ever. He was special forces for the Korean army awhile back and now he is here working i Gumi! He is really helping us out and trying to do everything he can do to get work done! Also his little brother is super cool as well, he is one of the most musically talented people ever.... I recently acquired a flute from our mission presidents wife and he learned it and started playing a hymn in 20 minutes.... it was so messed up hahahaha. So in Gumi it is the first place I served that is like an actual ward, it has young men young women and primary!!! I only served in Haeundae as the other ward an it only had primary really... so it is really interesting and sorta weird to be in an actual ward!!

So yesterday at church I had to give my welcoming talk and then randomly this guy who is returning home from to the Philippines had to give a talk as well so I had to translate it.... hahahaha right now most the members in Gumi don't think I am actually American... they all keep saying that I have to be Asian because I don't look or sound like an American.... this upcoming week is super super busy! We have investigator appointments and are meeting with some less actives as well as tons of appointments with the members!!! We also set up an appointment with one of the young men to play some basketball and ping pong and he is bringing his friends!! Pray
that it all works out great!!

I haven't been able to meet any investigators yet, but this upcoming week we have appointments with most of them so I am looking forward to seeing them!! I can't wait to get completely settled in over here in Gumi!! It is going to be a great transfer!!
Love you guys!!

Sunday, June 17, 2018

Sorry there is no time so this will be a pretty short email! So I got transferred to Daegu zone! I will be serving in Gumi with eler Winter who was in my MTC district! ELder Schimbeck is the DL in that district so I am looking forward to seeing him again haha. i have heard lots of good things about Gumi, so i am excited to be going there!! It is most likely going to be my last area :(:(:(
Usually we transfer on a monday, but because they didn't buy our plane tickets in time I leave tomorrow in the morning haha, SO we had an extra p-day!! For P-day we met with my last companions mom (ELder Lee) because she is in Jeju traveling, and it is her hometown and she fed us lots of food last week and then wanted to spend a little bit of pday with us. So we went to this big rock park with her and the SEogwipo elders! So a lot of the pics will be from that place. It was su0per fun to meet Elder Lee's mom, she is super awesome!!
Last week was pretty great! We met with some new investigators and had lots of people come out to church! Brother Song couldn’t get baptised because he couldn't meet last week sadly. but we he came to church and is progressing tons! It was really sad to say goodbye to all the investigators members here! I really loved them and have learned so much from them over my time here!
Last week we met this couple who is from Ukraine who really wanted to come to our english class. They came on thursday and were super good at english and really loved it there!! I wont see them again but I really hope they continue going to the english class! Sadly last week while playing basketball and soccer I hurt my knee pretty bad.... haha it still hurts but i think I should be ok. Everyone should be careful when they are full of energy and trying to play 2 sports at once...
Anyways, My times almost up! Love you all and talk to you next week!

Tuesday, June 5, 2018

Hey everyone!! Hope you all had a great week!!! We saw some great miracles this past week and had the chance to watch general conference!!! It was super awesome!!! I really liked Elder Eyrings talk in the priesthood session as well as Elder Holland's!! It is great to be able to listen to the apostles of Jesus in the latter days!!! Hope you guys all loved conference!!
So one of the best things that happened last week was our investigator who went to the hospital randomly came back!!! Haha he called us on Wednesday because he saw a picture of us on an app called KaoKaoTalk and knew he should call us!! So he called and we met him that night!! He will be getting baptized this Sunday!!! We are really excited!!!
Last week we met with Brother Jwa and he is doing really great!! He is still kind of sick but he should be able to attend church this week! He really wants to come!!
We had a really awesome experience this past week when we were eating with a membner up on the campus of Jeju university! So while eating we saw one of the yound single adults in our branch who just got off his mission! He was eating with a guy from Nepal and we talked to him for a little but then sat elsewhere to eat! When they had finished eating they came to say by to us and the guy from Nepal (His name is Christians) randomly told us he wanted to start attending our church? Haha I gave the member a interesting look and he was just as surprised as we are! So he will be coming to church this sunda and be becoming a new investigator soon! He is super good at english and at Korean!
Not to much else happene last week! Today we went to some caves and then to the beach as a district pday, it was super pretty at the beach haha and the cave was lots different from the caves back at home because it was lit up the whole way! So we didnt even need flashlights haha thats all I got for last week! Love you all and hope you have a great week!!
Last week was a great week!! not to much happened though! Except now in korea spring has arrived so there are tons of cherry blossom flowers out now!! it is a super pretty time in Korea!! The only sad thing is that it's starting to warm up... Summer is right around the corner!! i am not excited haha, it gets too warm in the summer here...

Anyways last week went a little like this!! On tuesday we went on exchanges and I got to go down to Seogwipo with elder Bunker (We came to korea together) WE met this guy named mister Campbell who is from AMerica and we had a super deep lesson about the plan of salvation.. I am really getting tired of going super deep into the gospel with all the foreigners here haha, they all ask so many deep questions... The nice thing about the gospel is that it is super simple!! I just wish people would keep to the simple things in the gospel instead of getting caught up in the small things that really dont even matter... But it is what it is haha, Mr. Campbell really likes the church and was pretty impressed with our knowledge on the things he was talking about!!! We have an appointment with our investigator Andy this week as well, and I just hope things stay simple there...

Last week we met our old investigator brother Jwa! Sadly he is pretty sick lately so he hasn't been able to attend church! SO please pray for him that he can get better! He is so close and just needs a little bit more of a push!! I really love meeting with him!! haha We haven't been able to contact our other investigators that well which means we will be starting to find a lot more people to teach!!

Last week we did quite a bit of finding and we found a lot of great people!! I don't know why but for some reason I always find the middle school students and they all want to meet with us now haha, so We will be playing basketball with a couple of them this coming Saturday maybe!!

SO this coming week is general conference for me! i am super excited and I have heard tons about it! I know it is one of the best ways for us to receive personal revelation now in these days!1 So I made sure to be really prepared for this coming conference (partly because it is my last as a missionary :((((

Thanks everyone for the prayers and support!! Love you all!!
Most the pictures are from today, we had an awesome pday at this cool crater/volcano thing!!!

Hey everyone! how are you all doing?? Last week was a very eventful week!!

Sadly our awesome investigator Brother Song is going to be in a hospital for a few months so we won't be able to meet im and he wont be able to be baptized this coming Saturday! But we will maybe be able to meet 1 time every few weeks and teach him still! He is still progressing tons, and him being in a hospital will help him overcome smoking and he will be able to read the book of mormon and other church books while he is there!! Next time we are able to meet him I want to give him a lot of the churches books so he can be super prepared to be baptized!! sadly I might not be here to see him baptized :( He could be in the hospital for up to 6 months, and I will sadly be home at that time...

So we had a member missionary work meeting yesterday in our branch that went super well!!! I made a video (SOmething I learned from Elder Leeinyoung <3) and we showed it then talked about how we can do better at missionary work in Jeju branch!! The video turned out to be a lot better than I had initially intended and the members loved it!! hah So it was nice to finish that meeting with some success!! The members here are really good at doing member missionary work!!

Our older investigator Brother Jwa is doing pretty well, but now that the weather is nicer he has a hard time coming to church because he randomly started having work to do! But we will continue to meet him and stress the importance of coming to church! He is still an awesome guy he just needs a little more work~!

Our younger investigator is doing well, Kang Juhan, he just has a hard time with living the gospel or something haha. He wants to get baptized but He still doesn't fully understand that he has to do certain things to receive baptism haha, he still comes to church and all the meetings and it's only a matter of time before his parents allow him to be baptized!!

We had a small miracle yesterday! one of my old investigators, Go Gyeongmin, who had a baptismal date but his parents refused really bad so he couldn't meet with us, randomly showed up to the church a little bit after church and was saying how bad he missed it and how he plans on getting baptised as soon as he is old enough! it was awesome to talk to him again and encourage him to keep living the gospel as best he can!

Also one of my old investigators from Sacheon will be in Jeju this week as well!! I gave him a baptismal date my last week, but apparently he didn't go to church after that and they had a hard time teaching him! But luckily he will come to Jeju this week and be here until sunday so he can attend church here! I hope we can respark his desire to be baptized and help him go back to church in Sacheon!! speaking of sacheon, I had the awesome opportunity to talk with a couple members from there who i am super close with! It was nice to see how they are doing and talk with them for a little bit! I also got to meet a really great friend who came to Jeju last wednesday!! So last week was pretty great!! hahaha

Also last week we had interviews with president and zone conference! I learned a lot from the meetings and afterwards we had this small proselyting activity where we met this super funny older guy who really wants to meet again!! Last Week we were able to get lots of contacts and give out quite a lot of Books of Mormon! so i am excited to see where this coming week will lead!!

Anyways that's probably about it for last week!!! Hope you all have great week!! Love you all! :)
Also just want to give a quick shout out to Elder Rumsey, Lewis and Thompson! Some of my best friends out there and say thanks for always being a great example to me :) love you guys !!!!!

Last week was yet another awesome week!!! It started off pretty interesting because we met Sister Nielson (A sister I served with in Bangeojin and Sacheon) and her parents and they took us to eat some great indian curry!!! Haha Later on Tuesday night we had MCM at our ward mission leaders house and we ate a ton of food!!! It was really funny because he has a daughter who went to Busan to study english and she was back for just that day, so Me and sister Oh were super surprised to see her!!! She actually ended up making us some 떑뽂이 (Deokboki) and it was super good!! So we have this meeting coming up next week and we have to make a video for it, so we have to make this video about how missionaries daily routine is... haha it should be pretty fun!!! the only problem is, we have to be done by this sunday.... so we are running short on time hahaha
Wednesday was super busy!! WE had district meeting and then we had to start working on stuff for our play that the kids at the service project are doing! And after the service project we taught brother Song!! We had another great lesson with him, but sadly he wasn't able to make it out to church, but we will be meeting him again this wednesday!!! He felt really bad that he couldn't come, so he is studying really hard!! Last time we taught him, He didn't know where Idaho was, so he went home and studied about Idaho for an hour and a half!!! So he know knows a lot more about Idaho hahah
Last week we had the chance to meet with a less active who I have been trying to meet my whole time in Jeju hahah last transfer me and elder Lee tried visiting his house almost every week, but he was never home and he never picked up. But one day I had the feeling to send him a text that just asked how he was doing, and he finally replied saying that he would have to meet us and explain how he was doing. So we met him, and he gave us this crazy story about his life and how hard it has been, and how because we had sent the text message to him it helped him a lot and made him decide to change what he was doing!! He is a super awesome guy, and is on his way back to being fully active!!
Last saturday was a super awesome day! The branch had a relief society get together that everyone was invited to. They did a cook off, and one of the members who just recently moved here is actually a chef who works at a resort here on Jeju, so after the cook off he gave us a cool cooking demonstration and it was so cool haha
Those were some of the highlights of the week!! It was super fun!!! Hope you all have a great week!!!

This past week was crazy!! We saw one of the biggest miracles i have ever seen on my mission!!!! The week started off well with Elder Avila!! Tuesday we got this really cool referrall from the sisters from this guy who stopped them on the street and told them he wanted to study the book of mormon!! Of course we thought that was cool but we didtn realize how insane his story was until we met him the next day!!
But before we met him we had this service project where Elder Lee used to teach dancing to some kids! But because elder Lee left :(:(:( We had to figure out something new to do! So a while back for a district meeting i wrote this weird little paly haha and apparently sister Oh SeHyeon really liked it so she convince the kids to make me write them a play... so i have to write a parody for Frozen..... haha talk about a headache...
Anyways getting back to our crazy story, so I called the guy (His name is brother Song) on Tuesday night and set up an appoinment for the next night!! We were kind of worried he wouldnt show up because oit wqas raining so hard but he ended up showing up and we started teaching him the first lesson! He talked for the first 30 minutes all on his own and told us his life story (Which is crazy and if you want to hear more about it you will have to ask me when i come home) anyways the craziest part was when he talked about how he was in this hospital 3 years ago and he wanted to change his life up so he asked the nurse to give him a bible. The nurse (who is not a member) ended up giving him a book of mormon that she maybe recieved from missionaries awhile back!! So long story short, we taught a super powerful lesson and commited him to baptsim for the 31st!! He also came to church and loved it!! It was such an awesome experience!!!
The next day we went out to b\meet brohter Jwa and we got him back on date for getting baptized!! It will either be this week of the next!!! We are super excited and he is so ready to get baptized!!
Later in the week our younger investigator Kang JuHan decided he wanted to put makeup on me (he is into makeup) and so i let him.... the things we have to do for investigators..... So i wore makeup and it waws not very nice... haha i wil never wear it again for sure!!! I will send a picture haha
Other than that our english calss had tons of people come, we did some proselyting with the sisters and I was attacked by a bunch of highschoolers once again..... but the sister got lots of numbers at least.... haha the past week was great and I am excited to seet what the new transfer brings!!
Love you allllll!!!!

So last week went pretty well! Up until Saturday when we found out elder Lee would be transfered to Busan... :( So early this morning we took him to the airport and he left :(:( we were hoping we could do at least 1 more transfer together! he helped me learn a lot and we had such a graet time together...
Last week went really well! We had our 2 progressing investigators come out to church, and we are trying to get them baptismal dates now!! Things are going really well with them.
There wasnt to much crazy stuff except we had a service project at a fire festival that went super great!! It was super fun and we ended up meeting two members from California hah. A random kid in this choir group just yeller "ELDERRRRR" and came up and gave me a super big hug. haha He came from California to perform with his school choir in the fire festivals opening ceremony!! It was really awesome to meet him!!
So one of our investigators Brother Kong is super into makeup haha, he is a guyy but he is studying makeup and wants to become a professional makeup artist. So anyways I was joking around with him after church yesterday when i said he could put make up on me and he really liked the idea, so later this week im getting a makeover..... the things you do for an investigator..... hahahaha I will make sure to take pictures!!!
Anyways my new companion is from Australia and we were actually in the MTC at the same time!! It should be a fun transfer!!
Love you all

This past week was pretty eventful and this upcoming week is really busy!!! It is crazy to think that this Saturday we might receive ransfer calls! I hope elder Lee doesnt leave haha. SO before I talk about what happened last week I wanna let everyone in on whats going dow nthis upcoming week haha. So we have to do some translating and help with this big festvial this Thursday in Jeju!! We get to be interpreters ahah, I am really sick of translating though.. I have to do it every Sunday and last week was district conference so I had to transalte to the american people for a total of 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday.... It really makes my head hurt..... hahahah
Anyways this past week went by so fasst! So we met the kid who came to church last week whose name is Kong JuHan. He is iin highscchool and he is super awesome!! He was the one who randomly called us during church and then showed up!! So he really loves the church and is palnning on getting baptised! WE will be trying to set a date up with him this wednesday (I wont be there though becasue I go to Seogwipo for exhcanges ><) we are hopoing that his paretns will let him!1 He came to district conference this past week and loved it! He already got super tight with the members and he is actually going on a coamp with them right now haha. Also our older investigator Jwa GoMyeong was able to make it to church yesterday and although we have to push his baptismal date back just a little bit!
So last week On saturday we almost died haha, we played soccer early in the mornign for two hours and hten we went to a members house to help them move... and that day was busy full of meeting so we were always running around.. haha luckily the members who moved didt have tons of stuff! But that whole day we were out of enegy but we still were running around trying to get tons of stuff done!
Last week we decided to do a some proselyting activities with the sisters and we did something called beat the foreigners haha so we set up some games for the people passing by to try and beat me and sister morin at. I played a korean game called teh μ΄ˆμ„±κ²Œμž„ (ν˜œμ§€μ•Ό λ„ˆλ§Œ 이거 μ΄ν•΄ν• μˆ˜μžˆμ§€λ§Œ.. γ…Žγ…Ž ) which is wehere you take a two characters in korean and you have to make words using those characters. I won a couple people hahaha and I was also the champion of starig contest hahaha I went up against a kid for 5 minutes straight without blinking hahaha I also went up against a girl and she ended up crying haha I didnt think i was that ugly.... we met some great people from it!!
Today we had a raet pday with an american member family where we went to a cool mountain/crater! It was super fun!!! Love you all!
(PS My copmanion cut my hair hahah)

So this pasat week was pretty awesome!! It started off normal, being super busy, eating a ton of food with the members and stuff like that haha but Tuesday was a crazy day... so the sisters called us and told us that they wanted to do a proselyting activity together to help our english calss get some more members. So we got a board that people come and stick stickers on and have to answer some questions in english which allows us to introduce our enlgish program! So while we were doing this a huge group of highschool girls came by and started to stick stickers while my companion and sister Oh were telling them about why we we are here and stuf like that. I was standing a little of to the side trying to get more people to go and stick on stickers. Haha so apperantly while I was doing that a bunch of the girls started talking about me to Elder Lee and sister Oh. They were saying I was really handsome and they wanted to come to english class if I was there... and Sister Oh and Elder Lee encouraged them so much that they came over to me and wouldnt leave me alone for like 10 minutes... and they were trying to get my autograph.... hahahahha that day while doing the activity we were able to get 18 contacts!! sadly only 4 of them were guys..... hahaha, The sisters got so much contacts they want to do this a lot more often.... Then later that night a member that Elder Lee knew from Busan came to Jeju for the new year holiday (because he is originally from jeju) And he bought us soooo much good food!!! He is such a cool guy haha The things i ate that night were this, Sushi, raw beef, Sashimi, tons of seafood, tons of ice cream, things like that.. I will send a picture later haha, it was so good! I dont think I have ever eatnthat much in my life though... and later that night we met with a new investigator that we found who is from Canada!! He is a really interesting guy, and he asked tons of super deep questions!! He is really kind and is super curious about life in general! his name is Andy.
Not to much crazy stuff happened after that!! but we had a sister who just fed us a few weeks ago take us out again to the same buffet haha I dont think I have ever eaten as much food in my life as I have in Jeju... I am gaining a tonnnn of weight nowadays!!! And Thurdsday night we did a zone proselyting activity haha it was funny becasue the seogwipo elders carried a table halfway across the city.. hahaha we sang hymns for the activity!
Friday was Lunar New Year! In korea it is a big holiday and we were lucky toh ave our ward mission leader invite us to his house where we ate a ton of food!! haha and and becasue it was a big Korean Holiday Elder Lee got to Skype to his family!! And then later that night we actually went to his aunts house haha his mom is from Jeju so his mom side off the family all live here!! The weird thing is is that he doestn really know them that well and they arent memebrs haha, he was worried about coming here, but presidetn just told him to meet them anyways and convert them hahah so we ate dinner there and played a fun korean game!! Apparently im super good at it even thoguh i dont really know what I am doing... hahahaha
Saturday was a really really tiring but awesome day! In the morning we played tons of soccer with the branch and then later we met with the same member who fed us Tuesday and he bought us chicken and then we went and played basketball!!When we were playing basketball we met this super awesome kid! Sadly he is going to Seoul this week.... So Seoul gets a super awesome referal soon!! Me and him might be going to the same college when I come back to Korea!!
Sunday was a super crazy day! So I had to give a talk, and I also translate here becasue there are 2 members from philippenes and we have an American family here as well. I actualy met them for the first time yesterday cause they have been super busy for awhile! They have three daughtrs who are super cute and remind me of my little sisters Emma and Piper hahah I was really jealous of them becasue apparently they met one of my favorite athletes shawn white after he won gold at the olympics.. Speaking of which I didnt even know he was in the olympics this year until yesterday?? hahahaha I was super jealous γ… γ… γ…  and while at church a new member who jsut moved here brought a freind and a kid randomly called us and wants to become am meber now??? Super awesome!! And our investigator Brother Jwa is doing graet!! We had an awesome lesson with him yesterday!! It is a really awesome feeling to be driving home after a really succesful lesson :)
This sunday is Jeju district conference and we are hoping a lot of people are able to come out!!! It should be another graet week here in Jeju :) Love you all <3
