So we received the transfer call!!!! Elder Aubrey surprisingly is leaving.. and i get to stay another transfer!! hahaha It was really really surprising that I didn't get transferred... but I get to stay in Sacheon for at least 1 more transfer!! Which means I get to be here for about 7and a half months hahaha, only a few people have stayed in this area for 4 transfers and I am the first person to stay here for 5 hahahah it is super crazy!!
I am really excited to be staying here for one more and I get a new companion who came to the mission with Elder Aubrey! His name is Elder Giles, I have never met him or anything, but I hear he is cool! And that he is really good at soccer so that will make some of our investigators happy!!! It was really funny at church yesterday to see the members reactions because they all were guaranteed that I was leaving hah they fed me tons and tons last week, and when they found out elder Aubrey was leaving the y were so confused hahah. I am no longer a missionary in Sacheon, because i became a member now hahaha. The members were sad to see Elder Aubrey leave but really happy that I stayed!!! I love them all haha I'm so excited to stay so i can still see them!! Especially because some of them will be receiving mission calls this week!!!
This week were were not able to meet with Lorenzo again because this time we had no time, it was a really busy week!! And now that the testing is over our investigators can start coming to church again!!! YAy!! not much time to email!! Haha sorry, see you later!

So to start off this email, I found an 18$ suit here... of course I bought it and it is actually super nice. They had a big sale on only my size suits, and so I got one and members want me to go back today and check so they can get some too, everyone thought the suit was 200 dollars so I am pretty happy with the purchase :)
Anyways besides that last week was pretty great!! Sadly Lorenzo was so busy with work we were unable to meet him, but we will try to meet him this week!!! This coming week might be one of the busiest weeks I will have on my mission. Because it is most likely my last week in Sacheon the members want to feed us really bad, so pretty much everyday lunch and dinner is booked for the coming week!!!! I am pretty happy, and it will be a delicious fun week (Celebrating Thanksgiving a little late I guess)
So we had something so hilarious happen to us last week.... We were at our branch presidents art academy and one of the students there is a sort of less active student who is super tight with us. Anyways there is this other kid who isn’t a member there and he is famous at his school for not being able to sing super well. So he was listening on his phone to a video of him singing and Elder Aubrey told him to just sing for us and, well I will just let the videos explain.
On saturday we played soccer with our investigators and some random high schoolers.. so it was me and Aubrey with three of our middle school investigators against some super good high schoolers, and we beat them, so it was pretty epic. I honestly don’t know how we won because they were the better team, but our goalie and defense wrecked them so it was super fun!! I kinda forgot how fun soccer is, but our bodies were so tired afterwards, then our investigators helped us out and did a proselyting activity with us.They are so awesome!! Sadly it is testing time so they have no time to come to church or anything :( but other than that last week was so awesome!!!!
Love you all and hope you had a great week!!!
화이팅!!!!!!

This past week was really awesome!! I had a great birthday (November 23), and thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday!! The day of my birthday I was lucky because we had zone conference on my birthday so I could see a lot of my friends!! The sad thing is on my birthday I received a flu shot... not too bad, but who wants to get a shot? especially on their birthday??? Anyways I got some cake and it was great and I got some presents from members and investigators so it was a great birthday!!! I got some nice new reebok shoes from a guy we barely know haha and socks from the mission president's wife, and President Jeong is getting me a new coat as well :) I also bought myself a new suit, so all in all it was a great day!!
other than that last week was still awesome! Not as much finding got done because we didn't have much time for it, but we met with Lorenzo and he is doing awesome!! We shared the first lesson with him and I think he liked it! He wanted one in english korean and indonesian so he can practice his languages haha
This week we met with a bunch of our student investigators, but sadly because it is testing time they won't be able to attend church for a couple weeks :( we will continue to meet with them though!! And we will be able to meet with a senior because they just finished the big ACT test here, so now he has tons of time!! It will be great!!!
Anyways that's about it! Love you all <3

In the pics are me with Elder Aubrey and Jed's cousin Elder Baldwin! (Zachary went to high school with Jed)

This week was really fun!!! We were able to find a new investigator who is super cool haha His name is mister Jung and he is super good at english and a really interesting character!! We met him randomly as we were going to get a bus and he really wants to attend our enlgish calss!! He has called quite often annd he wants to learn english and about our church!! So win win for everybody right!?
Also some other crazy stuff happened this week! We met a famous actress while we were in German village on the Namhae island.. We might be either in the news or in her drama, casue when we talked the cameras were all pointed at us hahah, and at the time we didnt know she was fsamous so we forgot to get the picture taken..... sad :( But while we were there we got to meet lorenzo for a little bit and he is doing great!! His work schedule makes it hard to meet him, but we are working through it!!! he is so prepared!!!
This week some of our members here decided to throw me a surprise birhtday party!! it was aweosme and a super fun time, sadly i didnt have my camera... haha so sorry no pics from it, but i got a new nice tie from the branch presidents daughter and some othe rgreat stuff!!!
So this week we have some weird news... We are helping some guy sell a rock on Ebay.... He doesnt know english so he needs our help trying to sell this pretty cool rock on Ebay.. hahaha its pretty weird, but he is super nice and might acutally have osme interest!!! he says he will come to church sometime!!
This week on sunday we had 3 investigators make it out and attend church!1 It was grat, and we are hoping for more next week because they will be less busy!!!
Something cool that happened this week was when the olymic torch came through our town!! so we got to see that and it was prety cool!! anyways today is a district pday so  i gotta go!! Love you all!!!
The picture of the dogs is acually a dog farm.. all those dogs wil be eaten sometime soon, and there were thousnads more in the be\uilding on the left... hahah

So we had another crazy insane week!!! To start off I will say that we were disappointed when our middle school investigators were all asleep when church started... hahah we met them all saturday night and before anyone said anything they were all saying "we are going to come to church tomorrow, don't worry" and the asked us to call them all at 9 in the morning, but the never answered..... ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ typical students... hahaha but we will be playing soccer with them this week on Saturday with our members! I love Sacheon branch members! They do missionary work so well haha
This week we had a crazy tiring service project for our branch president's friend! WE went to his house in the middle of a bunch of mountains out in the island and built a rock wall.... hahah we actually didn't really build it, we just carried the rocks from the field.... it was soooo fun ;) we were so sore and tired the next day though..
Another crazy thing that happened was I met Elder Jang!!! I guess he is brother Jang now though... So if any of you can remember when i lived in Haeundae in a 4 man house, he was the Korean elder in our house!! /he is from an area near mine called Geoje, and i went there on exchanges and met him!! He gave me some great Costco muffins and also some bacon.. hahah I missed him so much, we had a super great time in Haeundae together!! It was really awesome to be able to see him again!!
So the craziest thing that happened this week was us finding 7 new investigators.... I honestly don't know why the work in Sacheon is blowing up, but this place is becoming legendary in the mission right now... haha usually its tough to find 1 new investigator, and we are in one of the smallest, most countryside  places in the mission... so while me and elder Aubrey were headed back home on a bus from the island Namhae, I was sitting in front of a foreigner guy, and started to talk with him, i ended up moving back behind to the seat next to him and had a tough conversation in the little and Korean he knew. He was really a kind guy from a country called East Timor, and while we were talking i found out he really wanted to learn English. So i informed him that as service we teach free English, so we later exchanged numbers and went to meet him and his friends on Sunday evening! We met them and they all didn't really know English or Korean that well, but hte kept saying "wait for our friend" and later a really kind guy arrived on a bike and he was fluent in English and Korean. So we got to know him really well and he is soooo humble and loving!! His name is Lorenzo and he seems to be a golden investigator!! So we will teach him, and through him, teach all his friends as well!!! But the moment we saw Lorenzo we could feel the spirit really strongly and I know we were sent to find him!!! I can't wait to meet him again! We will meet him on Thursday and probably play a little soccer and teach them all some more!!!
So a lot of the pictures are from the island, we got a hitchhike ride to a place i have never been, and maybe no other missionaries have ever been... haha but it was super pretty scenery down there so enjoy the pictures!!! Korea is the best!

Love you all!!

This week was so great!! just like usual!
So this week me and elder Aubrey had a blast!! We went to the border of our mission to a mysterious little town called Hadong, and I love that place so much!!! I really want to open it up as a new area, so we will see what president thinks. Anyway not tons really happened this week, just lots of street jundo and meeting investigators!! This week we met lots with our middle school investigators and found 3 more investigators out of them and had 3 of them came to church!! Sadly it dropped from last week because they were all asleep..... haha typical students. But we will met them and have them all come next week!! This week we are planning to give them baptismal dates, so pray for us and them that they and their parents will accept that!!! Sorry that the email is so small. I will send lots of pics!!

Photo of the"painted lady" Elder Davis referred to in his last email (I'd be a little frightened too!)

So this week may have been the most crazy week I have ever had in my life. We were super busy all week and saw some crazy insane miracles!! I will start off with the awesome news of our investigator Brother Hwangs baptism!! It went really well and I had the opportunity to baptize him!!! It was really great but had a rocky start because he initially failed his baptismal interview, and needed an interview with our Mission President because of some things in the past, but luckily I later called to President Jeong and we talked about what had happened and he ok'd him for baptism!! So we baptized him Saturday at around 4:30 and he was confirmed yesterday in church!! It was an awesome experience being able to teach him and watch him progress!! It was awesome to give this area that I love so much a baptism!! They haven't seen one in over a year so they were so happy!!! I have seen so many miracles come from this area it's crazy!! All the hard work is really starting to pay off!! This is definitely the hardest area I have been in, but i love it here so much and am so glad o be staying for a 4th transfer!!!

So the other miracle is so insane I can't believe i am saying it. So, to start off here in Busan mission the stat of getting investigators to church is real important, because it doesn't happen a whole lot.  Like it’s awesome when you can get 1 and you feel really proud of yourself and like you are doing a good job, because you are. So yesterday we ended up getting 8 investigators to church..... In Sacheon.... The branch was freaking out and so happy, and to be honest I was too. President Jeong called us when he heard and wanted to know how on earth we did that. Elder Aubrey is knew so he doesn't really know how crazy that was, and I think he is planning on it being that way for the rest of his mission which is awesome, his faith, and expectations are really high, and that's where it all begins!!! Most of the investigators who came are all middle schoolers who really love us and we play basketball with them often! We were worried they wouldn't pay attention during sacrament, but they payed attention so well haha I was so surprised!! This week was a really fruitful week and I am grateful to God for helping us out, because there is no way we could be doing any of this on our own!!!

Other than that, this week I ate the most dangerous food I have ever eaten in my life!! I ate puffer fish, like the fish that blows up with spikes and poisons you and kills you, and if the people prepare it wrong you die, yeah that puffer fish... It was real delicious!

Elder Aubrey really loves tennis and we got him a free 150 dollar racket... haha I guess im passing down my get expensive free stuff trait to him.... hahah this week was great!!! Love you all so much!!!

So the scary picture of someone in some face paint and stuff is actually a lady... its some korean traditional weird dancing and singing stuff that scares the daylights out of babies.... and me... hahahaha

Hey everyone!!
This week was super great! We worked a lot with Brother Hwang in order to prepare him for his baptism this Saturday!!! It is so exciting to be preparing him to make his first covenant with God!! It is real fun to teach him because we in turn get to learn a lot about the bible and his thoughts because he really loves the bible and really likes to tell us about his thoughts and the bible!! I have learned a lot from him. His baptismal service was changed from this sunday to this Saturday, because they want him to be confirmed the following Sunday and it is hard for his family to attend on Sunday, so we will be holding the service this saturday in Jinju at 5PM Korea time.
This week was still full of eating tons of food with members and investigators and this coming week is also full. I talked with our Zone leader and he said it’s because God really wants elder Aubrey to eat lots of good stuff in the beginning of his mission. Everyone is really surprised when we save we have meals everyday for the past 4 weeks. It is insane. Hopefully Elder Aubrey keeps it up his whole mission hahaha also for last pday we went with our district and went to this luge place that was so much fun!!! I will send some pics!!!
Last week we went to a dinosaur museum with a potential investigator!! It was pretty great1!! haha so some of the pictures you see are from that!!
This past week we had interviews with President and his wife Sister Kim told me I looked like a zombie.... hahahaha but luckily we have officially fixed my stomach so I can now sleep at eat normal again!!! Yaaaayyyy no more falling asleep at 1-2AM at night and waking up 4 hours later :) Now that my stomach is finally almost 100 percent better I am really excited to work super super hard in this last week of the transfer!! Time flew by so crazy fast!! I should be staying here since I am training but you never know what God has in store!! Sacheon is a real hard area but I love it here sooo much and wouldn't mind another 1-3 transfers here :) I love the members here so much!!! I am really excited to see what goes down this next week!!
Love you all!!! Have a great week!!
Also the pick of the cute little girl is the daughter of our investigator Bro Hwangbo Yunsoo, he is super awesome and she is basically an american girl haha she was born and raised in america for 5 years its really fun meeting with them!! Also the pics of the house are our branch presidents new house that we are remodeling haha, its soooo much fun, i honestly want to go there like every day hahahaha best service project ever!!!

This week was awesome!!!! So to start things off I will let everyone know of one of the most legendary things that has every happened in my mission and maybe all of Korea Busan mission. So we live out here in Sacheon area which is really countryside right?? Which means we shouldn't get fed that often, and in Korea eating with members is not to common of a thing, especially in areas where there is only like 15 members. But, for the past 2 weeks, and this coming week we have been fed everyday at least once.... it is crazzzzzyyyy~~~~ ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ

Anyways This week was a really great week!!! So we started it off with a pday that was full of ping pong and what not, we got an awesome meal that night by some older lady who likes the missionaries, and feels bad for us so she wants to feed us lots.

Tuesday we went out with a member to a really nice buffet! And at this buffet they have things called passion fruit and I really love them, so I eat 17 of them at that time, it was so delicious hahahah.

Wednesday we went on exchanges with Tongyeong elders, Elder Johnson and Elder Baldwin (Elder Baldwin is Jed's cousin who went to Snake river BTW) I went with elder Johnson and we met a crazy awesome guy who is named richard and he bought us tons of food. The next day nothing to special happened we just got fed chicken that night.

Friday we went to Namhae island to meet our investigator brother Hwang!! We met him with his daughter and this is wear the miracle came in~ So we taught him the whole first lesson, and once we finished he and his daughter went off for like one hour and it was crazy cause they speak so fast and I try to understand but it was so hard hahaha, anyways I could understand little bit and pieces but I couldn't tell if he was accepting what we taught well or not. Anyways they finished talking and his daughter told me "He will get baptized" And then she offered an awesome prayer and we extended the invitation right after that. He will be baptized the 29th of this month!!! It is awesome to see how the spirit worked on him, because when me and Elder Schimbeck first meet he had no interest really but now to see him accepting the gospel is awesome!!!

Then on Saturday we finally got to meet with Brother Hwnagboyunsoo and his daughter Seogyeong after like five weeks of not being able to meet!!!! I missed them so much and Seogyeong is the cutest girl ever hahahah, she is one of my best friends in Korea, I can't wait till they accept the gospel, they are so awesome!! Later that night our branch president's daughter just barely got back from the Seoul south mission so we had a big meeting with all single adults, and ate and talked about missionary work!! It was awesome!!! This was an awesome week, and I am excited to see what the coming weeks hold for us!!

Wow this past week was insane! I am not sure I have ever eaten so much food in my life... hahahah. It was Chuseok, or Korean thanksgiving last week and it was awesome!!!

Tuesday we went out to the middle of nowhere to meet with and investigator and were able to share a short message of the book of mormon and give him a copy and ask him to read it!! He said he would and so we will see how it goes from there, his name is Son Won Seop. Maybe I have mentioned him before but he is an old guy who used to teach orchestra at a foreigner high school in Sacheon!! And he literally lives out in the middle of nowhere.... hahah 1 bus every 2 hours is the only way to get out to him.

Anyways on Wednesday it was thanksgiving day so President Jeong asked all the zones to do some sort of cultural activity on that day! So we went to a big popular festival in Jinju and had a great time! We also had to take some pictures with some random people so it was fun, and that’s what some of the pictures I will send are!

Then on Thursday we went to Busan and had a big physical competition with Busan zones!! It was pretty fun, but  sadly because of my knee and stomach issues I couldn't participate much but it was a great time!!

Friday we literally spent the whole day at our Branch president's house remodeling. It was actually a super fun time and we ate some really great food for lunch and dinner. For dinner we ate some raw beef, it was actually super good (I will send a picture)

Saturday was a day spent watching general conference and then helping a member home teach and eating with him, it was an awesome day!! I loved President Nelson’s talk in the Saturday session about the Book of Mormon, and I now have set a goal to make sure to read the Book of Mormon everyday for the rest of my life!! I want to make sure that If I were ever offered anything of greater worldly worth, I would choose the Book of Mormon!!

Sunday was a day of conference as well and It was great to learn and be taught from the apostles of Jesus Christ. I loved this week!!! There are many pictures since I haven't sent many for awhile! So the ones with the elder who isn't my companion Elder Ockey was when we ate dog, so that soup is dog meat :)

Sunday, October 1, 2017

So this week was great! Sadly, due to the Korean thanksgiving holiday, I cannot send pictures because the city hall is closed today and the rest of the week but next week there will be lots!!

So this week I got to go on exchanges in Geoje with Elder Ockey (from my MTC district) And we decided to do something really crazy, first off in his area there is a krispy kreme donut place, so I bought possibly the most unhealthy food I have ever eaten... 400 calorie donuts...... Sooooo good..... Then after some proselyting we decided for a dinner we would eat dog, so we went and had some dog soup and it was actually quite delicious (Except when we had to eat the skin, and some weird liver looking thing..) And after that we met with a less -active member and ate some live octopus while preparing for english class. Randomly an investigator came in with some domino's pizza (SOOO expensive here), so we feasted that day. Sadly the next morning when we were about to de exchange, some random Jehovah’s Witness lady came out of nowhere trying to bible bash us. Elder Ockey said it was like the first time he met one in his area. In my mission I’m known for finding really rich people who buy me stuff, or for attracting Jehovah’s Witnesses wherever I go. The lady was so creepy too, I have chills just thinking of her.

Anyways this week we met again with brother Hwang, our investigator who came to church last week and it was so awesome! We taught about the Book of Mormon and he said this "I truly only need the Bible in my life, but because I know this book is a good book, I will read it and pray about it". It was sooo awesome!! Later on Saturday, I called him up just to see how he was doing and he randomly told me to get him a ride to church, because his daughter is out of town for the holiday! SO he came to church, and he really loves it!!! He made a really good friend with one of the members because we had to help him fix his door and we went with Brother Hwang and his daughter to do it. It was an awesome experience!

This week was an awesome week! Can't wait to see what is in store for this  coming week!! Love you all! There will be lots of pics next week!! Promise <3

This week was so crazy! I went to Busan and back like 3 times so my wallet took a huge hit..... :( It's 15$ to go there and back, so kind of sucks. I had lots of meetings there and it was really great! I have been learning so much lately about how to better do missionary work, and I am excited to be putting it into work!

But anyways besides spending 20 hours on the bus, this week was awesome!!! I received my son, Elder Aubrey on Wednesday!! He is from  South Jordan, Utah and is a great missionary!! He is already super good at his Korean as well!! I am super excited to be serving with him this transfer!!! Being a trainer is pretty interesting, because it’s basically do what you want time, and it’s really nice because since he doesn't know the culture too much I can teach him it!! It was great making my comp eat some crazy food in the first week. We had so many appointments with members and others so we ate some crazy stuff!! The first meal he are with a member is called 삼계탕 which is a whole chicken boiled in some soup I will send a pic soon haha he also ate some other crazy good stuff! I wish I had eaten as good as him in my first week!

So this week we had an awesome miracle! Yesterday while we were waiting at church (We have to show up an hour early) A sister member called us because she needed help carrying some stuff for the lunch that day, when we went down to help, she had come with her nonmember father, who is super stout presbyterian believer!! He had called her that morning and wanted to come to the church with her! We had met him before last transfer and helped him do some moving into his new house and have eaten with him before and he showed no interest, but now he wants to learn about the church!! It is awesome!!! Member missionary work is the best! When they came, one thing that came to my mind was the section in Preach My Gospel that says "No Effort is Wasted" I know for a fact that as long as we try new things and work hard, and always have faith to find people, we will find God's elect children!!

I have an interesting story to wrap up the email hahaha, so while we were waiting for a city bus to come email this morning, a  lady approached us to strike up a conversation, it was kinda sad that I knew as soon as I saw her that she was a Jehovah’s Witness, but we have to be kind so I let her talk to us. I've met so many Jehovah’s Witnesses before though, so when she starting trying to tell us stuff I told her that I knew her doctrine really well... hahah She was nice of course (They almost all are) And we had a short discussion about our beliefs, when our bus came we ended up getting on the same bus, and when she was about to get off, the bus driver was of course crazy and she got launched into my seat...... So the Jehovah’s Witnesses now seem to realize that I am not going to listen, so they have decided to get physical with me... haahahahah.... When I talk with other missionaries I found out that for some reason I meet the most Jws out of pretty much everyone in my District and most the mission..... I don't know why.... I hate bible bashing so much now :( hahahaha luckily they are quite nice in Korea so it's not as bad as running into the missionaries for the churches that kidnap and brainwash people (ALthough I have run into them before) Churches in Korea are super crazy..... I love Korea so much though, missionary life wouldn't be the same without meeting all the crazy people!!! hahah
