So hey everyone!! How’s it going? Right now I’m emailing in none other than wonderful Costco.Pretty nice, the cheese pizza is the only American type of pizza that they have here in Korea.. It’s amazing though!!

Anyway, this week went really well! We were visited by an apostle, Elder Oaks, and he shared an awesome talk with us missionaries! This week we found an awesome new investigator! His name is 곽탱형 (Gwak Teh Hyeong) He actually went to school in America for high school and university! He is a really quiet, nice guy who is about 27 years old. We met him in a McDonalds and he is a quiet religious man, and just really seems like he needs some friends. He has a pretty close relationship with God through prayer and seems to like the Bible quite a bit! This week we have been focusing as a mission on trying to find more families to teach, in korea you don't teach families a whole lot so our awesome mission president is focusing on finding families before he leaves us.

Speaking of President Barrow I had an awesome last interview with him before he heads back to America and we get a new mission president, and in it he gave me a super awesome blessing! He told me that within the next few transfers that I will become senior companion and that I will soon be one of the leaders leading the mission. Kind of scary because I don't feel prepared for responsibility like that, especially with how crazy things will be once the new president comes in, but I'll do whatever my mission president asks me to do, so I'm trying hard to prepare now, so we will see how it goes from here!!

Yesterday we had an awesome meeting with our investigator 정원영 (Jung Won Young), and he will be getting baptized towards the end of next month!!!! He is super funny kid and for some reason absolutely loves the sacrament haha every time we bring it up he talks about how much he loves the "Special bread and water" And it's super funny! He's a great guy and we had an awesome lesson with him yesterday, he loves to learn about the gospel because it's so new to him! Super prepared investigator!!

Elder Oaks meeting was so awesome!! He is a hilarious man, and gave an awesome talk!! He helped us on how to better teach our investigators and I'm already seeing the improvements since then!

This week we met with some Jehovah's Witness missionaries and the sad thing was that my companion knew more about their doctrines than they themselves knew. Sometimes the other missionaries get really annoying cause they are super punks, but we actually have an investigator who is Jehovah’s Witness so we will see how that goes. Today is a huge sand festival that is happening over at the big becac here so we will go to there today with almost all of the Busan city areas! It's gonna be great! Love all you guys! Have a great week!!!

Elder Davis, Sister Yang and Elder Hurtado. Sister Yang served with Zachary in Bangeojin.

So here I was thinking I was at the beginning of my 8th month, when my mom hits me with an email saying that I’m in month 9........... What the heck? Where has the time gone!? Anyway this week was pretty interesting.. So in Korea all young men have to serve 2 years of military service before a certain time, so one of the elders in our mission had already done that, but the government requires them to come back to get retrained for like 3 days. so Elder Kim JaeYoung had to go to a military base in our area so he got to stay in our house and we got into a threesome with him. So in the morning we would take him to the base, and then around 5 we would meet him and go and do mission stuff with him. He is a super funny guy and is super beast at working out, so I learned lots from him! Anyways while he was doing military I got to wear his awesome military outfit, and he bought me some official army stuff, super sweet, anyway we found some awesome investigators this week and they seem promising!!! Baptisms are coming soon!!
Love you guys!!

Hello everyone!!! This week was super fun!! Today was awesome because I got to skype with my family!! I’m grateful to have the opportunity to be able to talk to my family while across the world!!

This week went super fast but not as fast as this transfer went! Today is transfer day, but nobody from the apartment left so it doesn't even seem like a new transfer. I’m now in my 6th transfer.... insane... Time flies while you are on a mission and while you are having fun!

This past we talked with our investigator who had moved to Seoul and when he called he was at the church there. Why did he have to move!?!?!?!?!? Dangit... It’s ok though because our other investigator is starting to really like the church and has some great questions! We invited him to get baptized yesterday and he said ok, so we are thinking that sometime next month he will receive baptism!!!

This week was especially super fun because Sister Yang (A now returned missionary) who i served with when I first got here to Korea in Bangeojin came to our zone meeting this week, and then took me and my companion out to eat with her after the meeting and bought us some great food!! It was really weird sharing a message with her without her having a nametag on and helping us share the message. It was really nice of her to take us out to eat like that though!

So Korea finally got a new President!! Yaay we aren't in complete chaos anymore I think!?!? Crazy thing is that one of our investigators actually knows the new president!! So now we have connections in the Korean Government and in the Korean underworld, pretty legit!!! I am still loving missionary work, and hope all you guys have a great week!! Love you all!!

This week was great!!! Although sadly our golden investigator decided to up and move across Korea to Seoul. So, he will not get baptized here, but that doesn't matter, as long as he gets the opportunity to be saved then I’ve done my job!! Something else crazy happened this week, Elder Gwon hurt his knee and had to go home, so now I am in a threesome with Elder King, our zone leader, and Elder Hurtado!! Its pretty interesting!

Another crazy thing and awesome miracle that we saw this week happened on a rougher day where we had been proselyting for like 4 hours and had not really talked to anyone, and the people we talked to all just rejected us. That night we had planned to meet with A team (the other missionaries in Haeundae) and play board games with them to help their investigator get a better relationship with their investigator. While we were waiting for them, we had a random call asking about our english class (which starts on wednesday) and then after we had talked on the phone for a bit, he sent us a picture of the church asking if this was where it was held. So we met him outside and invited him to come in, and then met with him and A team and their investigator and played games and had a great time!! Later in the week, I texted him asking if he would come to church on Sunday, and sadly we didn’t get a reply, so we were kinda bummed but then randomly on Sunday about 5 minutes before church starts he came in! So then we met with him and taught the restoration, gave him a Book of Mormon and asked him to pray. He said he would, and that he liked the church meeting, so we will see how that goes for now! We also met a lot of other promising people later in the week! I am really excited for this next week!

The only downside from this week, is that I am super wrecked with sickness (cold), and I hurt my body a lot with all the crazy things we did this week, like hiking a huge mountain, going on a far trip with the ward and playing sports with them, and walking around a lot, all while I’ve been pretty sick.. hahaha. It’s fine though, I have been very blessed for still at least trying to do missionary work while being sick!! God knows what we go through and he gives us what we need to overcome it!! I’m grateful to serve here in Korea!! It’s such a great place! Anyways have a great week!! Love you all!!

Preparing for the zone hike

This week was super great!!! We should have a baptism within the next month or so!! ( at least 1, if not more) We were meeting with one of our investigators, who at that time we thought only had interest in learning english ( He is extremely good at english) and as we were just talking with him trying to figure out how we should go about sharing a message with him, he randomly asked us "Are you guys gonna share some special verses or something?" So we had a super great lesson about prayer and the spirit. We then extended the commitment for him to be baptized and he said that once he learns more about the church, and comes to know it's true he would be willing to be baptized!! Super awesome lesson, that was definitely led by the spirit!!

We had some exchanges with some other elders in our area that went great!! Another miracle we encountered this week happened when we were meeting with a guy who doesn't have much gospel interest. So we were meeting this potential investigator, he doesn't really want to learn about the gospel but while we were meeting he really wants to help us with missionary work. So we were talking about our new english program and he decided he wants to help us with that, so he took a big flyer and told us he’d put it in this massive apartment complex that he lives in, and then he went further and decided to make a new english class for the apartment complex that he lives in. So we will soon be teaching 5 new english classes and 4 of them will be loaded with young people who might accept the gospel and be baptized..!! Super great miracle and really awesome! We will be finding so much more investigators soon, soon we will be even more busy than we already are... wow, we are getting a lot of blessings here in Haeundae!!

This week is going to be really fun! On Friday we get to have zone conference, and it will be really different because we are doing a hiking zone conference in a mountain behind the mission headquarters!! Super awesome!! Thanks everyone for the love and support!!
사랑하업나이다!!!
