This week was pretty awesome! Two crazy things happened, the first being that I went on trainee exchanges with Elder Golden who was in the MTC at the same time I was. Both of us barely speak Korean and barely know how to get around. Plus the next day we had to make it to Daegu for a mission tour with an elder Whiting (from the 70) but more about that later. Anyway we rocked some proselyting and even taught an english lesson to a guy who barely speaks english and somehow we survived taking buses to the places we needed to go. I am super jealous of Elder Golden’s area, because right outside their apartment the have a free hot chocolate machine, so everyday they get free hot chocolate.... jealousyyyyyyy The next day of exchanges we had to travel to Daegu (about two hours away by bus) and we ended up being super late because the only Elder who knew how to get there was working out until we had to leave. His name is Elder Kim and he works out from 6AM to about 5 minutes before we have to get ready. We made it just in time to get to shake Elder Whiting’s hand though!! So we survived our trainee exchange!! It was a super great experience because it allowed me to realize I actually know more Korean than I thought, and it  was a real confidence booster for both me and elder Golden!!! Elder Whiting had a super good talk about receiving the holy ghost, my favorite quote was this: "We can either say when we wake up at 6:30 'I have to get up now so I can be obedient', or we can say 'I choose to get up now so that I can better have the holy ghost with me'" He had lots of other great quotes but my favorite part was when the three zones that were there all sang the closing hymn and the spirit was super super strong!!! I love being a missionary :)

Also we have some awesome senior missionaries named Sister and Elder Dustin, they made us a massive thanksgiving feast with American food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had mashed potatoes for the first time since the MTC!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!! Yayyyyyyyy!!!! And they were actual potatoes!!!!! :)

The second crazy thing, was when I played our branch president’s (Kim Young Ay) wife again in ping-pong and found out that she went easy on me last time we played. I started beating her this time and she just went crazy and smashed it like 50 times on me, and beat me.... I love the members here so much though!!! The one sister (Jang Mee Oak) who brought us cake for our birthday acted like a cheerleader for me and kept cheering me on then told me I improved. And the the Sister Kim Young Ay bought us a bunch of meat for a pity party, haha. She always calls me her baby missionary and Sister Jang Mee Oak always feeds me tons of food trying to get me to gain weight. I LOVE BANGEOJIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are way to nice to me here!!

The Christmas initiative is super fun as a missionary in Korea!!! We got special pass along cards and we have been giving a ton of them out. The Church gave out these cool little calendars to all the members and you scratch off each day and it tells you something to do. The first day was feed the missionaries...... hehehe. So we have had more than a few invites to members houses because of that:) Just yesterday I was able confirm Yeat Lai Hor a member of our church and it was super awesome!!!! I did it in english which was weird because I have been memorizing the blessings in Korean, but the words all just seemed to flow out when it came time to say them!! God knows and will help you if you have been trying hard! I was extremely nervous about doing it, but it went super well and he says he is extremely happy. "So happy he want cry" (His exact words) It is makes me so happy to bring such happiness to all these awesome people here in Korea!!! And he is such a good member already that he has decided to introduce 4 of his friends to us, and we are meeting them on Sunday! (He might even be bringing them to church) So we will be having another great week most likely. Yyyyyyy :) I am kind of sad that Korea doesn't go as hard as America for Christmas, that's one thing I miss a lot!! The Christmas spirit in America was sooo awesome!!! But I still think Korea has got the edge over Murica.. :) hehe I love being a missionary!! It is too much fun!!!!! :) I feel the spirit soooooooo much in everything I do!!! :) SO awesome!!! Love you all!!!! Have a great week and do work!!! :)
