Wow, what a refreshing week!! General Conference was a blast!! I loved the refreshing talks given! And hey, did anyone see my man Elder Yoon Hwan Choi give his talk?!?!?!?!? I met him up here in Korea and I love that man to death!!! He is such an awesome example of faith, giving a talk in his non-native language and doing it so well! It was great to hear him speak in front of the whole Church and whole world. He is one of the biggest examples to the whole Church in Korea for what they can become. Which leads me into one awesome opportunity that I had this week.
After conference on Sunday, in Haeundae we take the sacrament to an old man in the hospital because he is sick and can't come to church. His story is an insane one that starts like this. One day in Korea, a young man named Gordon B. Hinckley (Probably in his 30's to 40's at that time) was walking and told a man to follow him. This man was named Brother Bae. Her was in his later 20's at this time I think. So anyway President Hinckley told this man to follow him down to the beach. President Hinckley walked into the water, said "Come, Follow me, don't be scared". So Brother Bae walked into the water and boom, President Hinckley baptized him right there. Immediately after being baptized, Brother Bae became the first branch President in Korea. Sol, a random guy on the street, never even having heard of our church, within 10ish minutes got baptized and became the first leader in the church in Korea. And i took the sacrament to him yesterday. Super cool! So while we were taking the sacrament to him, he told me this story, and shared his testimony about the sacrament his main thing was "THIS is my happiness" (As he pointed to us and the sacrament.) He has some alzheimers, so he said it a lot, but it was a very profound thing and the way he said it, you couldn't deny that the man knew it was true. I am grateful to have met him and i hope we all learn from him how important the sacrament is, it should bring us so much happiness!!
Anyway onto the more boring stuff for this week! Haeundae is a really cool place! It’s a huge city in Busan and has tons of people! The people here are very rich, and I have seen some insanely nice cars (Porsche 911 Spyder for example, saw it yesterday while proselyting). The people here are pretty nice! It's kinda weird, because sometimes when we proselyte people come to us and start talking to us instead haha, we have had a couple people who want to meet that started talking to us before we said hi. Really interesting and I like it a lot because they are normally people who want to learn!!! We have a few investigators here, and one is actually from America!! Teaching in English is so much nicer. I’m thinking we should have a couple baptisms by the end of the run here in this transfer, we have lots of prepared people!!! The ward is super cool here!! I already love them!! I miss my bangeojin family a lot but it is really nice here too! Our house is super fun. We live in a four man house, with Elder Jang, Elder King (From Idaho as well) And my comp Elder Hurtado it's super fun living with them. Elder Jang is a super super hard working missionary and he is a super fun guy, we always play fun board games after we finish all our stuff at night as we get ready for bed! I really like it. Hope everyone has a great week! I know i will in Busan :) Love you!!!
